To address and minimize the environmental impacts of its business processes, GDL constantly strives for best practiced standards and innovation. In line with this commitment, our day-to-day business activities will:

  • Ensure that its operations comply with all relevant legislation and implement program procedure to assure compliance.
  • Employ management systems to look for ways to minimize pollution and risk associated with its activities as well as being prepared for emergencies.
  • Ensure the participation of all employees in environmental issues through proper communication and provide appropriate training in environmental practices.
  • Minimize waste generation, promote reuse or recycle materials wherever practicable and ensure safe treatment and disposal of waste.
  • Manage and conserve scarce resources, such as water, energy in an environmentally sensitive manner.
  • Communicate its environmental policy and practices at all levels and all sites of the organization as well as company stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve environment and monitor progress using internal and external auditing on its environmental management performance.
  • Set environmental targets, which it will strive to achieve & review its environmental policy on a regular basis.

Gothic Design Limited is also associated with the Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation, Mirpur as we support them by providing infrastructural support such as Block Tables for their training institutes. We believe that our efforts will enable physically challenged individuals to get streamlined into the mainstream workforce.

Gothic is engaged in a joint Tree Plantation Program, in collaboration with media partner Channel I. We are also partners with Prothom Alo, a leading Bangladesh daily, in providing primary education for children of its employees and the surrounding community. Besides these, we are involved in a number of sustainability activities such as Recruitment of Physically challenged individuals under the CRP and ILO TVET Reform Project, Early Childhood Development Project with USAID and Save the Children, National Immunization Day (NID), 0-5 Clinic, Eye & Ear Camps, Blood Donation Programs and Extended Program on Immunization (EPI).

We use energy efficient lighting, fixtures and machinery which help us to save a substantial amount of natural resources such as electricity and water. Our waste management program also entails re-use of fabric and paper as cleaning cloth, napkins, table covers, etc.
